At JAPIMP, we don’t just sell cars—we live and breathe Japanese imports. We’re a small, family-run dealership based in Morwell, Victoria, built on a love for all things JDM. JAPIMP is the brainchild of Nick (aka Cleefy) and his father, Fred—a duo with fuel in their veins and a deep respect for Japanese automotive culture. Nick has been immersed in the import game since 2015, earning a reputation as the go-to guy in the Latrobe Valley for all things JDM (especially Toyota Crowns). With an eye for quality and a deep understanding of Japanese auctions and sourcing, he knows exactly what to look for.
Then there’s Fred. A mechanic in the truest sense of the word, he’s been turning wrenches for over 35 years and was raised in a time when mechanics were gentlemen. His knowledge runs deep, and his hands-on expertise ensures every car we import is mechanically sound.
Our journey into JDM culture started humbly in 2005 with our first personal import—a 1992 Toyota Soarer GT Limited. From that moment on, we were hooked.
