There are cars you enjoy, and then there are cars you just keep coming back to. For me, the URS206 Toyota Crown Majesta is 100% the latter. I’ve personally owned two different URS206s, and that should tell you something straight away. After owning the first one, I tried a few others—but nothing quite hit the mark like the V8-powered luxury rocket that is the 206 Majesta. I had to get another.
Let’s get straight to it—the 4.6L 1UR-FSE V8 in the URS206 is an absolute gem. Smooth when you’re cruising, but drop your foot and the big girl roars to life with a refined rumble that never gets old. There’s something addictive about the power delivery—effortless yet commanding. It’s that perfect blend of luxury and muscle, and it never feels strained. The throttle response is sharp, and even though it’s a big car, it moves like something half its size when you ask it to.

The URS206 isn’t just about power—the interior is pure class, especially in the G Package model that I owned. The seats are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced, with plush cushioning and a perfect balance of support and softness. Long drives never felt long in this car. Every surface feels premium—soft leather, polished woodgrain, and all the little details you’d expect in a top-end Lexus, because let’s be honest, that’s basically what this is in disguise.
Those who have researched a bit about these cars will know it can be a little difficult to find these cars without some form of damaged woodgrain in the interior, typically above the glovebox, or the shift surround but if that bothers you, you can still buy replacements brand new from Toyota in Japan.
Toyota absolutely packed the URS206 with features. From reclining rear seats and power sunshades to adaptive cruise, pre-collision systems, and my car even had the rare self-parking feature—this thing had it all. And yes, the self-parking tech was a bit of a gimmick, but let’s be real: it was cool as hell to show off, especially for a car built in 2010.

But the real highlight for me? The 21-speaker premium sound system. Easily one of the best factory audio setups I’ve heard. Crystal clear highs, deep rumbling bass, and perfect clarity across all genres. Whether it was blasting tunes or listening to podcasts on a long drive, the sound quality was just elite.

After selling my first URS206, I missed it constantly. Sure, I drove some other great cars, but nothing quite hit the same balance of performance, comfort, and tech. That’s why I ended up buying a second one. It’s the kind of car that leaves a mark—not just for how it drives, but how it makes you feel behind the wheel. Confident, relaxed, and just a bit smug knowing you’ve got something special.

If you’re considering a V8 JDM luxury cruiser, the URS206 Crown Majesta is seriously hard to beat. It’s got Lexus-level refinement, Toyota reliability, and all the features you didn’t know you needed until you’ve lived with them. We’ve had a few come through JAP IMP, and we can help you source the right one if you’re keen.
Trust me—once you drive one, you’ll get it.
